all for paws

I have a delightful neighborhood pet store, All for Paws, around the corner from me at 1430 NW 23rd Ave
Portland, OR 97210.  Kelli O'Connor is the owner and she has two beautiful pets, Mutton and Fancy Pants.  They all paid me a visit a few weeks back and we played in my backyard as well as in my studio. Kelli is looking for unique photos of her "family" to hang on the walls of her shop.  Getting Fancy Pants to look at me was fairly simple, dogs being dogs.  But Master Mutton was another issue.  I had to resort to being pretty darn ridiculous to get his attention.  Although, it may be that I kept calling him, "she".  I may have offended him!  I really don't know what it is about me, but I always call cats, "she" and dogs, "he".  Go figure!

Anyway, make sure to check out Kelli's natural dog and cat supply shop.  Fancy Pants and Mutton will greet you right when you walk in!  Kelli also has a website:  http://all-for-paws.com

christmas angel

This little angel walked into my studio with a fuzzy white winter cape and I feel instantly in love!  As you can see from the images we were able to capture, she was shy, sweet and oh so delightful!  A few well placed "Smarties" and we had her interest as well as her giggles.  Mommy worked closely with me in capturing her true nature.  Although the weather was freezing outside, I couldn't resist inviting her out into my back courtyard for a few photos.  She picked up leaves as big as her hands, explored flower beds and looked through weathered windows.  Breath-taking!  I have photographed her older brothers for many years, but sadly missed out on her first two years of life. With plans to make up for it, we signed their family up for the Experience Life! Photo Package for 2012.  Get ready to enjoy more photos of little Miss A and her brothers!

more holidays

I have been photographing this delightful family ever since these two little ones were bumps in mommy's belly!  They are so grown up and full of life and fun!  It was so wonderful to see them and to steal some giggles out of little Miss M!  She was a little shy, but I was able to catch her kind smile and sweet mischievous nature.  Little Mr. C was full of energy and adventure.  Dad was trying hard not to smile but couldn't help himself when confronted with a complete dork behind the camera....  Mom was as gorgeous as ever with a sparkle which keeps everyone happy.  Love you guys!

holiday photos

I first met this family when this precious little boy was a few days old!  I can't believe how lucky I am to be able to witness the growth and development of such sweet little ones!  You will be seeing a lot of this delightful family this year!  They were one of the lucky 5 customers who got the Experience Life! Photo Package at such a screaming deal!  I can't wait to see them again on the day after Christmas!

figlette and gator!

During my grand opening, the door opened and three very special people walked in!  For those of you who have followed my blog for years, you will recognize the names on the title of this entry.  I first met "Figlette" when she was one and a half years old.  Her sister "Gator" joined the family a few years later.  I have had the supreme pleasure of seeing these girls grow up.  When they walked into my studio, I teared up and couldn't believe my eyes!  They have grown up so much and are so beautiful!  I grabbed their mother and had a hard time letting go!

Here is the session we had together.  The petticoats came out and the shots I was able to capture at my window take my breath away!  It was raining hard, outside, but I dragged them outside in my private courtyard for a few shots.  With water dripping down their cheeks, I grabbed a few incredible shots of them looking over their shoulders.

So introducing the amazingly beautiful and beloved Figlette at 6 1/2 years and Gator at 3 1/2 years!
