If you were to go to a regular photo studio, you would be told that your sitting fee is very minimal, and yet when it comes time to get prints made, (that is what you wanted, right?) you end up spending more for less. For example, you spend $75.00 for a sitting fee and then have to pay $40 or more for a single 8x10. For just a dozen prints, you would pay over $550.00. The prints begin to add up and you find that you can't purchase all of the images you love. You struggle over the choices. And the price.
At Light & Shadow, I do things a little differently. With the advent of the digital age, the possibilities for finishing photographic images are endless. You receive images of yourself skillfully, exactingly and artistically captured and created that are yours for a lifetime. Instead of being surprised by the price and your loss at the end, at Light & Shadow, you are provided with a flat fee option with each package. No surprise, no agony, no loss.
I simply cannot sit by and let you settle for a few images. I want you to be able to own all of your own images for a lifetime! This is why I include a CD with your images hand-finished in both vivid color and artistic black & white. Each high-resolution image you receive is captured on CD forever.
With these CD images, at any time, you can choose to make whatever size prints you want. The applications - prints, webpages, blogs, greeting cards, canvas, video, email, business cards - are limited only by your imagination. You have control.
You will receive 4x6 prints of your images with each package. This way you can compare the quality of the online lab I use with the prints you can have made. I can provide you with the name of the professional lab I use, if you wish. You will be amazed at the small amount you will have to invest when you make your own enlargements!

This photo experience takes place at my delightful studio space at 2368 NW Thurman Street, Portland OR 97210. I have a private courtyard and small indoor studio in which to photograph your family. This package is for a family of 1-2 children ($50.00 for each additional person)

Holiday Photo Parties are designed to be a quick 15-20 minute session where you can get your images just in time for the holidays. I will create at least 10 different poses from which to choose. You receive a CD with 5 images finished in both color and black and white.

I have had so many clients ask me for all of the images from our time together. I haven’t wanted to give out any “proofs” of my work because I like to custom finish each image before having it printed. However, if you would like the “proof” versions to document our time together, I have been persuaded to give them up! I won’t be able to fix any blemishes, spots, bags under the eyes, etc. on these proofs. They are straight out of the camera!
